When is the next volunteer orientation?
Volunteer orientation is held the first Wednesday night of every month at 7:30pm. The orientation lasts for about an hour and you will learn about Save-A-Pet’s mission, safety protocol, volunteer opportunities, and the next steps in your training. Please RSVP if you are interested in attending by going to email@example.com.
I belong to a school/group/company/church who would like to volunteer as a group; can Save-A-Pet accommodate us?
We are happy to accommodate groups from various organizations with our volunteer opportunities. We often use groups for special projects, large events, and anything else we can think of! Contact us at 847-740-7788 or email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
My child and I would like to volunteer at Save-A-Pet?
We welcome children to volunteer with their parents. However, we do not allow children under the age of 11 to interact with our animals. To volunteer in our cat room, children need to be at least 11 years old and have to be accompanied by their parent at all times. To volunteer with the dogs, the child must be at least 14 years old and are not allowed to hold the leash or walk the dog while on the leash. They are allowed to interact with the dogs once they are in a pen. Both parents and children must attend orientation and the respective cat or dog training. A parent must accompany their child at all times.
